The Territory and Municipal Services Directorate will today, Thursday 30 April, 2015, weather permitting, conduct two ecological burns at Evatt.
Firefighters are currently clearing smoke from a brick veneer home on Waratah Street, O'Connor.
Fire was extinguished upon arrival of ACT Fire & Rescue.
The resident safely self evacuated and there was minimal damage.
Firefighters are currently ventilating a residence on Bizant Street, Amaroo following a fire on a stove.
Staff from the immediate area were moved away from the heater as a precaution but were not evacuated from the building.
Firefighters have extinguished a small fire in a heater on the second level of building 12 at the Canberra Hospital.

The fire has been extinguished.
Four garages were impacted by the fire. One of the garages contained a ute which was also damaged.
ACT Fire & Rescue crews arrived on scene to find several garages attached to the apartment complex alight.
