ACT Firefighters Deployment to Canada

A contingent of ACT Firefighters have departed for Canada to support local firefighters during extremely challenging conditions early in the Northern Hemisphere fire season.

Prescribed Burns

Prescribed burns are taking place today across Canberra at the following locations:

- Birrigai, near Paddy's River
- Carlile street, Evatt
- Bellenden street, Barton Highway

Rubbish Fire - John Cory Rd, Hume

Firefighters have contained a rubbish fire, outside an industrial facility on John Cory Rd in Hume.
 
Smoke may be visible in the area for some time.
