There is a structure fire on Newcastle Street in Fyshwick.
Significant smoke is present in the area. If affected, close doors and windows, and remain indoors. Individuals with respiratory conditions should take additional care.
ACT Fire & Rescue, the ACT Ambulance Service, and ACT Policing are in attendance.
Newcastle Street is closed in both directions from the intersections of Lyell Street and Wollongong Street, while emergency operations are underway.
The community is asked to avoid the area.
