Severe Thunderstorm Warning - ACT Region

The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for damaging winds and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding over the next several hours, affecting the ACT region.
 
If it is safe to do so, the ACT State Emergency Service advises the community to:

- Move your car under cover and away from trees - Secure or put away loose items
- Keep at least 8 metres away from fallen power lines 
- Stay indoors away from windows
- Never drive, walk or ride through floodwater. 
 
Take care on the roads and drive to the conditions.

The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) is currently responding to over 50 requests for assistance and appreciate your patience as they continue to assist those affected.
