The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the ACT. Damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall, which may lead to flash flooding, have been forecast for the Canberra region over the next several hours.
What you should do NOW:
- Move your car under cover and away from trees.
- Secure or put away loose items around your house and yard.
- Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
- Never drive, ride or walk through floodwater.
