The house fire in Batchelor Street, Torrens has been extinguished. The townhouse has sustained extensive damage, but residents are able to return to neighbouring units. ACT Fire & Rescue will depart the scene within the hour.

ACT Ambulance (ACTAS), ACT Fire & Rescue (ACTF&R) and ACT Policing are currently on scene at a house fire in Batchelor Street Torrens, where a townhouse is fully alight. Firefighters have gained control of the fire at this time and are conducting searches of the residence. There are several emergency vehicles on scene, please avoid the area. Update to follow.
