Grass Fire - Gordon

The grassfire in Gordon has now been contained. Crews remain on scene to continue the incident response.
This is an ADVICE level grassfire warning. A grassfire has started in Gordon, west of McVilly Close.
The ACT Emergency Services Agency (ACTESA) advises that people in the suburb of Gordon and the surrounding areas should continue to monitor the situation.
No properties are under threat at this time. Call Triple Zero (000) immediately if you or your property is under threat.
Current situation:
The fire is currently being controlled, moving slowly in a south westerly direction.
Firefighters from the ACT Rural Fire Service, ACT Fire & Rescue, Community Fire Units and ACT Parks and Conservation Service are on scene responding to the incident.
An aerial appliance will be deployed to assist with this incident response.
The size of the fire is currently 4 hectares.
People in the area may be affected by smoke, which could reduce visibility and air quality.
