ACTSES receives calls for assistance - Update 2

The ACT State Emergency Service (ACTSES) has now received 130 requests for assistance following today's heavy rain.

ACTSES crews, with the help of ACT Fire & Rescue, as well as Transport Canberra & City Services, have completed 55 of those jobs.

The majority of their efforts still revolve around minor flooding and roof leaks with only a few trees down around the city.

Staff and volunteers are expected to work through until approximately 10pm to clear the remaining 75 jobs.

People are reminded to stay well-clear of storm water drains following the heavy downpour and, if you require assistance, please call 132 500
