Update - Firefighters rescue teens lost in the bush

The four teenagers, two boys and two girls, have now been rescued safe and well.

Firefighters had to perform several time consuming winch manoeuvres to get their Holden Commodore sedan unstuck in the rugged and steep terrain. They were assisted the whole time by firefighter colleagues in the ESA Communications Centre using detailed mapping of the area and vehicle location technology onboard the fire vehicles.

The vehicle was located off some tracks only suitable for four wheel drive vehicles.
