SES Volunteer Units
Location, contact details and other information about individual units of the ACT State Emergency Service are shown below:
Pialligo ACT SES Unit (123 Carruthers Street, Curtin). This volunteer headquarters unit has approximately 20 members. The functions of this Unit are operational support to all services during larger incidents. This support includes staging area management, logistical support, communications and catering. This Unit also crews the Forward Communications Vehicle. Majura ACT SES Unit (Loftus St, Hall). Has approximately 25 members and is located in the north west corner of Canberra. The functions of this Unit are storm response, support to land searches, logistical support and flood boat support for various operations and community events. Gungahlin ACT SES Unit (Cnr Anthoy Rolfe Ave & Gozzard St, Gungahlin). Has approximately 33 volunteers. The functions of this Unit are storm response, support to land searches, logistical support for various operations, community events. Belconnen ACT SES Unit (Drake Brockman Dr, Higgins). Has about 31 members. The functions of this Unit are storm response, support to land searches, logistical support for various operations, community events and currently this Unit crews the mobile cattle trailer in support of Department of Agriculture events. Woden ACT SES Unit (54 Parramatta Street, Phillip). Has approximately 41 members. The functions of this unit are storm response, support to land searches, logistical support for various operations, community events, this Unit also crews the Lighting Trailer and the Medical Support Trailer. Rivers ACT SES Unit (Cotter Rd, Stromlo). Has approximately 20 members and is our most western Unit The functions of this Unit are storm response, support to land searches, logistical support for various operations, community events and currently this unit crews the Helicopter Support Trailer in support of bushfire events. Tuggeranong ACT SES Unit (364 Reed St, Greenway). Has approximately 23 members and is our most southern Unit. The functions of this Unit are storm response, support to land searches, logistical support and flood boat support for various operations and community events.
