
ACT Official Bushfire Season 2006-07
The ACT Emergencies Act 2004, states that Canberra and the surrounding Territory has an 'Official Bushfire Season' from the 1st of October till the end of March.
Each year, the ACT's fire response agencies undergo a considerable amount of training and preparation to ensure the ACT is protected by the best possible staff, volunteers and equipment. This year, there are a number of things that you as a residents of the ACT can do to help prepare your won property ahead of the bushfire season.

The ACT ESA has developed a guide for all residents of the ACT, dealing with a range of issues surrounding a variety of emergency situations. The guide has great information for residents to use to help prepare their properties for disasters like bushfires, among others.
