Information Sessions 2008
Information Sessions are held to ensure that potential volunteers are fully aware of what is involved in becoming a member of the ACT Rural Fire Service. Informative and fun, these sessions are well worth attending if you are considering membership, or if you would just like to know more about the Rural Fire Service.
Current Recruitment
The ACT Rural Fire Service is recruiting now for volunteer firefighters ahead of the 2008/2009 bushfire season.
For more information or to register please contact Nicole Cobb, RFS Volunteer Support Officer (see contact details below).
Volunteer Information Sessions
Information sessions usually take place in the evenings and last for up to two hours. During the sessions you will be given information to help you decide whether or not you wish to volunteer with ACT RFS. In addition, some fire-fighting equipment will be demonstrated, and current volunteers will talk about their experiences.
Membership application packs are available at the information sessions.
Potential members with previous experience and current fire-fighting competencies, gained in the ACT or another State or Territory, may contact the Volunteer Support Officer to ask about membership at any time of the year.
