Training

The ACT Emergency Services Agency (ESA) provides nationally recognised training to staff, land managers, and to volunteer bushfire fighters of the ACT.

Training and assessment is undertaken from the Public Safety Training Package PUA00. Training programs are designed to provide bushfire fighters with effective fire prevention and response skills.

There are four broad categories of bushfire fighters in the ACT:
