Bushfire Information Booklet
This page provides information to the residents of the Australian Capital Territory on how to prepare for the bushfire season. The booklet was issued to householders as part of the "Bushfire Information Kit".
The ACT Government and our community share a responsibility to ensure everything possible is done to prevent bushfires.
Although emergency services will do everything within their capacity to manage emergencies such as bushfires, they cannot guarantee that in all instances they will be on hand to assist. We must all take an active role in being informed and prepared.
To help you prepare this bushfire information booklet is divided into three sections:
- Before - things you can do to prepare yourself and your home in the lead up to the bushfire season and a potential bushfire;
- During - things you can do to protect yourself and your home during a bushfire; and
- After - what to do after the fire has passed.
The booklet is available on the main Emergency Services Agency website
