21/7/2008 - Learn CPR to help save lives
Minister for Police and Emergency Services Simon Corbell today called on Canberrans to help save lives by learning CPR or undertaking a refresher course as part of a new ACT Ambulance Service CPR awareness campaign.
"Coronary artery disease is the leading cause of death in the developed world. Sudden cardiac arrest is responsible for more than 60 per cent of adult deaths from coronary artery disease," Mr Corbell said.

18/7/2008 - More ambulance staff and vehicles for the ACT
Minister for Police and Emergency Services, Simon Corbell, today unveiled five new ambulance vehicles for the ACT. Three vehicles are all-new additions to the fleet and two replace older Intensive Care Ambulances.

The ACT Handy Map is used by emergency services to inform Canberra residents where a current major emergency incident or incidents is located.
The ACT Handy Map is also used to inform Canberra residents about the location of hazard reduction burns when they are undertaken in the Territory.
