Staff Development and Training

The Emergency Services Agency (ESA) fulfills the ACT Government's responsibility to the community to protect life, property and the environment through the provision of appropriately trained personnel. To facilitate training for such a diverse emergency response organisation, ESA has established three registered training organisations:

  • ACT Ambulance Service Training
    • advanced patient care and transport
      aeromedical rescue, retrieval and transport
  • ACT Fire Brigade Learning and Development Section
    • firefighting, hazardous materials, control and rescue
  • ESA - Staff Development and Training. All training for:

The Staff Development and Training Section coordinates and trains to Public Service and Public Safety training standards. This is facilitated by a small and diverse team of personnel from different services and disciplines within the Authority.
