Stay safe, stay alive this winter

Winter in the ACT always brings below zero temperates and plenty of warm cosy nights by the fireplace or heater and under the doona or blankets.
Winter in the ACT also unfortunately brings house fires.

In 2007 the ACT Fire Brigade attended 55 house fires during the three months of winter. That equates to around 5 house fires a week during the coldest time of the year in Canberra,
many of which could have been prevented.

The ACT Fire Brigade calls on all Canberra residents to Stay safe, stay alive this winter.

Click on the ACT Fire Brigade Community Safety Bulletins on the right hand side of this page to find out how to protect your home from fire this winter.
