Response: reaction to emergencies.
This might include hazardous substance containment, fire suppression, road accident rescue, and other emergency situations to reduce the effects on the community of hazardous conditions, actual, imminent or potential.
The ACT Fire Brigade manages its response capability through its Operations Section.
There are 260 Officers and firefighters in the ACT Fire Brigade.
They are located at 7 Fire Stations, 2 Joint Emergency Services Complexes (JESC), Communications Centre and Headquarters.
