Recovery

Recovery: the return of resources to the preparedness capacity level after emergency situations, and the community to a 'safe' condition.

The ACT Fire Brigade ensures that its role with regards to recovery starts as soon as an incident occurs. The ability of the Brigade to respond to an incident and manage that incident quickly and effectively assists the community to return to normal faster.

The ACT Fire Brigade's participation in activities such as the Sydney Hail Storm clean-up is an extreme example. Salvage operations following a structural fire are a more common example within the ACT.
