Preparedness: readiness of resources to respond to emergencies.
Preparedness includes operational training, stand-by, resource development and location. Notifying the public about emergency situations and issuing of warnings, collecting information about risks and hazards, developing and testing plans to meet likely disaster or emergency situations, and evacuation procedures.
